How does your RALF TECH watch work with an automatic movement or automatic chronograph ?

An automatic movement is a mechanical movement that is raised by the movements of the wearer's wrist. An oscillating weight (rotor) pivots freely around a hub and any movement of the wrist helps to reset the spiral (source of energy) and thus to charge the power reserve.

An automatic movement consists of more than 70 pieces, the smallest is thinner than a hair (0.07 mm). All these mechanical components work continuously together and create a smooth movement of the second hand.

How do I set my RALF TECH automatic watch for the first time ?

Your WRX or WRV watch contains a RTA002 movement based on a ETA 2836.

To set the date: unscrew the crown and pull it out to the first click. Turn the crown up to set the date.
To set the time: Pull the crown out to the second click and turn the hands clockwise until you reach the required time.
Once the date and time are set, push back the crown, then tighten it again until you feel some resistance.

The power reserve of your WRX or WRV Automatic can reach 44 hours fully charged. If your watch stops, you just have to wear it so that it restarts.

The power reserve of your WRX Automatics Chronographe can reach 40 hours fully charged. If your watch stops, you just have to wear it so that it restarts.

How does your RALF TECH watch with a Hybrid movement work ?

At the avant-garde of technology, the RALF TECH Hybrid RTH002 mechanism sits between two universes and combines the best of them. In brief, the Hybrid movement is at the same time a quartz mechanism and an automatic.
In fact the Hybrid system produces the energy necessary to function, utilising the movement of the wrist. Such energy is then stored in an accumulator with a 10 years lifetime. Working without batteries, this movement has a very low environmental impact and affords an extraordinary energetic performance: 100 million timepieces equipped with the Hybrid system use less energy than a 100 watts light bulb!

The miniature Hybrid generator contains a rotor suspended by magnetic levition. He can reach up to 100 000 rounds per minute, 5 times faster than the maximum regimen on a formula 1 engine. This innovative system allows an unparalleled precision. On average, our Hybrid RTH002 is 15 times more precise than a traditional automatic movement.

Fully charged, a RALF TECH watch equipped with the Hybrid RTH002 mechanism works up to 150 days after you have carried it for the last time and will restart in an instant, even this period exceeded.

How do I adjust my RALF TECH Hybrid watch for the first time ?

Your WRX or WRV Watch contains a RTH002 movement.

To set the date: unscrew the crown and pull it out to the first click. Turn the crown up to set the date and down to set the date.
To set the time: pull the crown out to the second click and turn the hands clockwise until you reach the required time.
Once the date and the time are set, push back the crown, then tighten it again until you feel some resistance.

The power reserve of your WRX or WRV Hybrid exceeds 150 days once the battery is fully loaded. The level of the battery will be indicated by the small hand. If it moves irregularly, it's time to recharge the Hybrid system. If so, simply wear your WRX or WRV watch for few hours minimum.

To know the power reserve of your watch, it is necessary to know that the load of your battery is proportional in a third of the duration of carried. For example, if you carry your watch for 3 weeks, you will then have 1 week of power reserve!

How to ensure the waterproofness of your RALF TECH watch ?

Before immersion in water, please verify that a water resistance test has been performed in the last 12 months. Basically the salt contained in sea water, the acidity of the skin and cosmetic products could damage the gaskets in the structure of the timepiece compromising the seals and the water resistance.

In case of doubts regarding water resistance of your timepiece, we recommend you call the RALF TECH main service centre or one of our RALF TECH Authorised Dealer.

please make sure that the crown of your timepice is securely screwed down and touching the side of the case firly in order to ensure insulation from water during an immersion.

Large variations in temperature may cause a slight condensation under the glass of your timepiece. This condensation should disappear after a few minutes and does not affect the proper functioning of your watch. However, if the condensation persists, please contact as soon as possible the RALF TECH main service centre or one of our RALF TECH Authorised Dealer.

To avoid this type of problem, we invite you to remove your watch in the following situations: hot shower, bath, jacuzzi, sauna, hammam ...

How to take care of my RALF TECH watch ?

Your RALF TECH Watch is a sophisticated instrument. Whatever its movement is (automatic, automatic chronograph, hybrid), a large number of components contribute to hand-ling all the functions.

Their mechanical action inevitably leads to a certain amount of wear and tear, which may be controlled by maintenance consisting of renewing the lubricant and replacing worn components.

Despite we regularly wash and clean everything we wear, we tend to neglect cleaning our watch.

To maintain the aesthetic appearance of your timepiece and ensure proper operation, it is recommended to clean it regularly, taking into account the following guidelines :

  • When cleaning, make sure first that the crown is screwed down firmly

How to take care of my RALF TECH bracelet ?

The RALF TECH straps have been Taylor designed and developed by the RALF TECH atelier. All of them have been hand crafted with the most refined materials and represent by themselves extremely highquality products.

All the products made of natural skin must be threated with care. Their lifetime may vary according to the conditions in which they are worn. In particular, water, cosmetics and perspiration accelerate the aging process. A silicon strap is thus better suited to activities involving frequent contact with water or humidity.

If needed, the RALF TECH straps, must be washed in warm water only and left to dry. Because the rapid evaporation of the water could damage their shape and/or reduce their quality, it is important not to dry them on a hot surface or exposed to direct sunlight.

After each bath in the sea or in a swimming pool, carefully rinse the silicone or nylon strap with clean water.

To replace the strap, it is recommended that you should go to the RALF TECH main service centre or one of our RALF TECH Authorised Dealer. This will be the best way to avoid the inconvenience caused by an incorrect replacement.
Only the RALF TECH main service centre or one of our RALF TECH Authorised Dealer can guarantee the use of genuine RALF TECH straps, Properly designed to fit the dimensions of the case and manufactured according to the quality standards of the brand.
